Filming ‘One Flew Over The Cuckoo’s Nest’ was new experience

Zach Watson, staff writer

After spring break, film instructor Brittain Biggs, Erik Schweitzer, and I spent a total of four class periods filming the UIL One-act Play “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest.” The theatre department put it on all day long to get ready for District competition.

Biggs edited and recorded, Schweitzer did most of the film recording, and I captured sound back stage.

We gathered up to 180 minutes of film, although we only needed 40 minutes. The reason being was to gather all the angles and shots for post production and to pick the best from everything. We surprisingly had no issues.

As Schweitzer put it, “Filming was good.”

Overall it was a great experience and a great play.
