The cheerleaders are making plans and enjoyed a successful summer at camp.

“We just really strive to be better each and every time, and perform like it’s our last,” cheerleading captain Jenna Fader said.

One thing different about pep rallies is the music. The cheerleaders aren’t allowed to mix music anymore because it’s a UIL rule.

At cheer camp, awards were given out. Some of them included the Extreme Routine Award, the Best Game Day performance, the Leadership Award, and the Banana, which is given to the most spirited cheerleader group.

In February, they plan on attending the UIL state competition, Fader said.
