SIP evaluates applications now

Although the deadline for a grant request was March 5, those involved in Students In Philanthropy are taking the action of evaluating  grants and getting ready to go on site visits. At Greenwood, they are trying to provide students a lounge area in the library, and also are trying to get a microwave to heat up their lunches.

Those who don’t know what a  grant is, it is basically money given to a non-profit organization to provide funds that are needed. Grants are not available to the students. Non-profit organizations send grants to the SIP class which get evaluated and the students decide if they get it; it depends on what their need for funding is.

Next year, if interested, you can find the application to the class online.
