Senior signs college softball scholarship

Kendall Maddox signed to Howard College on Jan. 16 in the high school library. At Howard College, Maddox will play softball for the Lady Hawks.
“[I've] always had that child-like hope and dream that I would someday be playing college softball,” Maddox said.
She will also study all-level teaching and coaching and hopes to eventually become a youth minister.
“I would… like to make an impact on kids like my teachers have [had] on me,” Maddox said.
The scholarship quantity hasn’t been settled yet, but Maddox’s two-year college plan is well on its way.
“I am very excited, a little bit nervous, but definitely blessed,” Maddox said.
