Preparation for graduation is speeding along. With it being on May 25 at 7 p.m. at Chaparral Stadium at Midland College, there is no choice to just sit around and do nothing. Sponsor John Binns and the senior class officers Kelsey Ricketson president, Bailee Hall vice president, Kendall Maddox secretary, and Shelby Rogers treasurer are actively getting everything ready.

Senior Briana Madrid gave us her opinion on graduating,

“I plan to be stressing out for the last time and I’m super excited, and to all of the seniors, be there, have fun, and high school is almost over.”

Everyone will be busy for the next weeks doing everything from decorating the stage to voting on who will perform. They plan to decorate the stage the same as they do every year, and they are voting on the graduation motto, flower, song, and all of the people who will perform, Binns said. They plan to have Greenwood graduate Jason Brooks as the guest speaker and estimate that the total cost of graduation to be anywhere from $600-1,000.

“I’m looking forward to graduation and being a part of a special moment in the kid’s lives,” Binns said.
