Classes replicate desserts from Pinterest and Cake Boss

Last year Sherrie Vogler’s cooking classes started to copy cookies, cakes, and cupcakes that they found on Pinterest and the hit baking show, Cake Boss.

Since starting this project, Vogler’s classes have taken a real interest in it.

“They come to class ready to bake and try to replicate the desserts,” Vogler said.

Vogler’s classes have taken their creations to Hospice and Rays of Hope.  According to sophomore Brody Geer, the elderly at Hospice were very inspiring and thankful because they were able to share the desserts with their own children.

“I feel inspired by the volunteer work that we do,” Geer said.

Also, to thank the custodians and maintenance workers, they were given cupcakes for all of their hard work that they do to keep this school a clean environment.

Vogler said they will continue with the cakes, cookies, and cupcakes during Christmas next school year.
