Jack Dawson and Rose Bukater returned to the big screen last Friday, April 13, in newly remastered 3D for a limited time.

For those of you who do not know the story of the movie “Titanic,” it’s a love story.  Jack Dawson (Leonardo DiCaprio), who lived off the money he made on his drawings and gambling, won his ticket aboard the Titanic during a game of poker. Rose Bukater (Kate Winslet), who has had money her whole life, boarded the Titanic with her family and soon to be fiancé, Cal (Billy Zane). Rose and Jack met while on board the Titanic and fell in love. On the night of April 14, 1912, the claimed “unsinkable ship” struck an iceberg in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean, and started to sink. With help hours away Jack and Rose along with the rest of the 2,223 passengers must try and escape with their lives.

Though the movie is 3 hours and 14 minutes, the story line and love between Rose and Jack pulls you in and shows how when you love someone that you will do anything for them.  When the Titanic originally hit theatres on December 19, 1997, it captured pure emotion and grabbed the audience’s heart.

The 3D release of the movie hit theatres just in time for the one hundredth anniversary of the actual sinking of the Titanic. Though the original version of the movie is breath taking, the 3D adds more depth and reality.

If you are in to the romantic, sweet, and suspenseful types of movies, I recommend this movie to you.  Over all I would have to give the Titanic a rating of 7.5/10.
